THIS PARADE WILL USE THE PACIFIC COAST JUDGES ASSOCIATION FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:
1. Individual entries consist of one participant, a group is two or more participants.
2. Senior category is 14 years and older (one 14 year old in a group constitutes a senior unit). Junior category is 13 years or younger.
3. Drum Major is an individual performing as a leader or drum major of a marching musical group. Drum Major with a junior high, middle, or elementary school band is a junior Drum Major.
4. Antique / Vintage autos 1916 - 1965.
5. Car Club, an organization with 3 or more vehicles, judged as a single entry.
6. Novelty, a group or individual entry whose participation is solely geared to the entertainment of the spectators.
7. Other Miscellaneous, this classification can be included for entries that do not fit the description of any other classification.
8. Theme Sweepstakes Trophy The sweepstakes winner is chosen by the judges as the most outstanding entry or organization in the parade for the best overall theme depiction. All entries are considered for the sweepstakes award, regardless of their placement in individual categories.
Equestrian categories will be judged by local judges. All judging will be done in the staging area.
A. Senior Mounted Group a minimum of six to be eligible for cash prize.
B. Junior Mounted Group a minimum of 6 to be eligible for cash prize.
C. Open Mounted Group JR/SR a minimum of 6 to be eligible for cash prize.
D. Mounted Color Guard minimum of 4 to be eligible for cash prize.
E. Novelty Costume Class open to no more than one rider per entry to qualify for cash awards.
F. Parade or Gaited Horse no more than one rider per entry to qualify for cash awards. *Special consideration will be given to those entries which display an animated parade gait through the line of march
G. Cowgirl/Cowboy 17 and under; Local rules no more than one rider per entry to qualify for cash award.
H. Matched Pairs/Sets of Two; Local rules no more than two riders per entry to qualify for cash awards.
I.Matched Sets of Four; Local rules no less than four rider per entry to qualify for cash awards.
J. Charro/Charra Costume-Stallions permitted no more than one rider per entry to qualify for cash awards
K. Charro/Charra Mounted Group minimum four riders to qualify for cash awards
